Stupid Mistake

I did a very stupid mistake yesterday. When I was going out after my breakfast, I couldn't find my car key and home key. I kept on looking around my bag, my room and I still couldn't find them. What had happened? I had never lost my key like that.

After I refreshed back, an imagine crossed my mind. I remembered I put my keys on my car when I want to take back my clothes which were hang outside after landry.

Some of you must be puzzled, why did I need to take my car key as well? Haha.. I have a very special way of collecting my clothes. My hanger was just located right beside my car, so usually I'll open my car door, collect my clothes and throw in all my clothes in while I am collecting the other clothes so that I do not need to take anything to put my clothes in! I'm brilliant right? Wahaha.. then after finish collected, I will use my towel to wrap up all the clothes so that I can bring my clothes easily.

Well, I did the same yesterday, but I follow with a stupid mistake. I left my keys outside overnight!!! Luckily no theft noticed about it, or else I don't know what to do if all things in the house missing. Ok, back to the topic, now my dilema was, I was being 'locked' in my house!! All people had gone out for work! How??

At that time I remembered I had a spare key which I neglected it long long time ago. But, I remembered one of the keys cannot be used as it was not well duplicated and it was not able to unlock the lock! Well, just try my luck. I was praying that the key for opening my door in the house was functioning.

So, geuss what happened next? Ya, I was lucky enough, my key was functioning. God bless me. I was able to escaped from my house and went to work.

So, lesson learnt was we must duplicate a functioning key.

Stupid Incidents

Just a little update before I sleep, want to share with you all a few weird incidents happened these few days.

I am in KL now until end of this week for training. Thanks to this course, I can stay in a 4 star hotel for a week. When we talk about 4 star hotel, we will think of a good hotel serves good food, comfortable room and of course good security.

Ya, the food served is good, vast variety and the taste is not bad. However, some cases happened in 2 days just make me have bad impression towards the hotel. One of the attendee for the course lost her whole bag with laptop which was placed inside her room! Ya, her room was locked and she kept her laptop in her bag and it was put in room. Then, what happened was the bag disappeared from her room!! How could a bag just disappear like that?? According to the friend of mine, she made a complaint to hotel personnel and they investigated by checking through the CCTV. The records showed a man opened the door (I'm not sure how he opened) and took the bag out. Imagine, a man can just open the door and took the bag out!! Now, the questions are, how could he open the door and how he knew there was a laptop inside?? Just think about it..

Then, another incident happened today which was just my 3rd days staying here. I was resting in my room and suddenly 'pop' , the whole room blacked out.. huh?? Black out? Yes!!! Then, the light at the entrance door switched on automatically after a few seconds and the rest of the lights were not functioning. Luckily light outside the corridor and one lift were still operating. I took the lift down for clarification and the receptionist just said 'no electricity, please wait for 10 min'. NO ELECTRICITY!!!! Black out happened in a 4 star hotel???? I had stayed in hotel many times and this was the first time in my life I met a black out in a hotel. The rating of the hotel in bottom of my heart had dropped drastically. Luckily the incident only took place for 10 minutes. So, which hotel was it? If you want to know, just ask me personally.

Another not related incident which I felt it was a bit stupid. A male friend of mine took me out for a movie since I came down to KL. After that, he fetched me back to hotel by motor after everything was done. During our way back to hotel, we were stopped by 2 policemen. They directed us to stop at the road side and stopped the engine of the motor. After some lame introduction by the policemen, he told us that the back light of the motor was not functioning. Both of us felt weird and my friend checked the back light. Surprisingly, the light was working! The police clarified that it was not working just now when he saw us. Never mind, perhaps the wire is not connected properly or coincidentally it was not functioning at that moment or anything. Here came the interesting part. The lame conversation continued. It went like this:-

P: Where are you working?
My Friend: Working at XXXXX.
Me: Working in Penang.
P: I see.. is this girl (me) your gf?
My friend: No, we are just friend.
P: Where are you going?
My friend: Fetching her back to hotel.
P: I see.. faster get married la. Then both of you do no need go to hotel.
Me: (*#&$(*#&*&%*;)

HUH???? WTF???? Is that how our police should act? Hey, we are VERY TRUE friend and is that means going to hotel must be doing something bad?? Is that the mind of our police??

Police should be a person who holds strict to the law and maintaining the securities of the country. He should be a person who act as a representative for the country and he should have a clear thought for what is right and what is wrong. Imagine I were the foreigner and I heard this kind of thing, what am i going to think about this country?

So, what will be in your mind when this person talking to you in this way?

Course Attended

Many people asked me about my course, what course was I attended and how was my course. Actually, I attended the course about HACCP and auditing HACCP and PRP. Ya, I attended 2 courses.

The course was very informative where all the important and neccessary information were included in the syllabus. Despite from that, I would said the lecturer for the course was very experience and she able to answer all our queries clearly.

Thanks for the organiser well preparation, I grew fat after the 1 week course.  I was not sure the actual reason perhaps the organiser felt that attendees would absorded best with a full stomach.

We were served 4 meals per day (excluding dinner which we need to search ourselves). The first meal will be the complimentary breakfast was served by hotel. It was nice sadly I cannot take much in the morning.

Then, it followed with tea break at 10.00 more.
Then, lunch was served at 1.00pm. Of course, we had it in hotel coffee shop and it was served in buffet style. (sorry for photo was not taken. )

Again, 3.30 tea time.
And, dinner where we needed to look for it ourselves.

Coffee and tea was served in every meal. I guess this was the essential item to keep us awake in the class.
This was how my course like. Basically, all was eat, eat, eat. Some of you might jealous with the scrumptious meal served. However, we need to pay back with a fat body figure and perhaps another longer suffering period for losing weight. Sob sob..

Doctor Doctor...

Recently, one of my friend was admitted to hospital due to appendicitis. I paid him a visit on last Sunday and his situation was just worse than what I imagine. Appendicitis? It should be involved a simple operation and I guess my friend should be alright very soon after the operation.

Out of my surprise, he looked terribly weak in hospital. He even did not have much energy to talk, he slim down a lot, and he lost his appetite to eat. What I want to tell here not how weak was him but the incident happened to him.

Before he admitted to hospital, he suffered stomachache and he consult a doctor. This doctor concluded his case as 'food poisoning' and that was the end of the story by giving some medicine to him. Anyhow, the medicine did not work for his situation and he looked for second doctor. Unfortunately, the second doctor just scolded him for taking improper food due to he had a sensitive stomach. Again, that was the end of the story. This incident continued until the forth day, he was in anguish and he cannot even stand up. Then, he was admitted to hospital.

After the doctor checked, he found out he was actually having appendicitis. The delay finding was causing his appendix to burst and worsen the whole situation. That was how he ended up with serious case. He needed more time to clear off the 'things' that burst out from his stomach and he needed more time to recover.

I found that it was rather ridiculous because food poisoning and appendicitis should consists of different sign and even gastric also consists of another sign. This was not the first case happened to my friend but lot of cases happened whereby doctor give the wrong information to patient. I don't know what happen to the doctor now and they can just simply concluded the sickness with an irrelevant case. Perhaps some of them do not actually know the consequences of their wrong information. This will bring a serious result and it may even cause fatal to a patient.

Doctor, please provide a good and details check up for all the patient and please do not be a doctor just because of $$. Life is valuable.

I've Back To Malaysia

To: All my beloved friends

Yes, I've back to Malaysia.  I was back to my hometown around 2 weeks ago. Most of you might not know about it because I didn't tell many people. Sorry for not telling because I do not want to make it into a big issue. However, a lot of friends keep on asking when am I coming back to Malaysia and how was my life in New Zealand.  I keep on thinking what should I answer to those questions? Therefore, I think it's time to tell everyone. Initially I planned to come back in Jan 2012 as I shouted out loudly in Facebook. But, Why am I coming back earlier??? This is because.....

Yup, I met a car accident and my car overturned. Don't ask me why. I couldn't figure out the actual reason until today. No bluffing! That day I was driving on a highway. Suddenly the car shifted to left and I was shocked and turned it to the right. Again, the car shifted to left! And I tried to turn the steering to the right. At that moment, the car lost control and it started turning round and round and at the end, it overturned like what it showed in the photo. That was what I could recalled for the incident.

Some people keep on guessing the reason 'You must be speeding!' 'The road must be wet!' 'It must be something wrong with your tyres', 'You must be...' 'You must be...' and etc.

OK, let me tell you the actual situation. That day was a sunny day, no strong win and I was driving ONLY 90km/hr on a STRAIGHT highway. I didn't hit on something or try to escape from something at that time and the accident just happened like that. Even the police stepped in and investigated the accident, they couldn't get the root cause and the report from the mechanical side showed that no mechanical fault for my car.

The car was stopped turning after it hit on the fencing at the road side. At that time, my left hand was numbed and my forehead was bleeding. I was lucky enough because I was still awake and I was able to climb out from the car. The moment when I was able to get out from the car, there were a few people surrounding me and helped me to lie down as I felt dizzy.

Those who passed by stopped their cars and offered their helping hand. Some called the ambulance and most of them helped to pick up the stuffs that scattered around. The most touching part was some of them trying to push the car awat just because there was a jacket stucked under the car. They wanted to pick up the jacket for us. Huh??? Crazy right?? They were simply too helpful!!!!

We were lucky, we met a lady passed by and she offered to send us back to Blenheim the next day as she was travelling back to Blenheim too. The place of accident was around 1 hour 30 min driving distance away from the town we stayed.

Throughout the whole incident, NOBODY took photograph and NOBODY copied the plate number of the car. Yes,those are typical Malaysia culture when we saw accident happened. And we, as a Malaysian, of course still taking photos of the accident although we were the victim this round.

We were so lucky because there were 2 local doctors passed by and they also offered their professional help by checking at our injuries. They even joke that all of us will be alright as long as we support ALL BLACK. Haha how enthusiasm they were towards their rugby team. Of course, we were sent to hospital by ambulance afterwards.

After we admitted to hospital and some checkup was done, we were requested to return to the hospital again in the next morning. Again, I have to say, we were really lucky. One of the doctor who passed by during our accident was the doctor worked in this hospital. He allowed us to overnight at his house and he even sent us back to hospital the next day. OMG, I can only say Kiwi are too helpful. This invaluable action should be spread all over the world and the world will be more lovely.

OK, back to the main point. During the accident, I hurt my neck and because of that, I've back to Malaysia so that my family can take care of me. I was admitted to hospital for almost 1 week here and I have undergone an operation. So now I am resting at home and I need to rest for another 2-3 months. So friends, I probably can come out yum cha with you only in next year.

Anyhow, I deeply felt that I am so lucky because I am still alive and I am able to write this blog. Sometimes, we will only felt life is invaluable when our life was at the edge of the safety line. Safety belt saved my life in this accident. Friends, remember to wear safety belt whenever you sit in a car, it plays a crucial role during the accident.

Some of you might be wondering, how could I keep on updating my blog since I was in hospital?

Who said I can't?

Operation After The Accident

I'm glad that many people around me are concerning what happen to me after the accident. Or some of them just 'interested' to know about the story?? I was not really mentioned about my injury in my last post. I was thinking not to talk about it and make it into a secret. Of course, this action did not stopped the concern and curiosity of my friends!! Until one day, one of my friend asked 'why don't you post about your injury, so if anyone undergo the same situation like you, your post can be a reference for them' Ya, why not?

Due to the accident, I actually got broken neck. yes, BROKEN NECK. There was a small crack on my cervical spine. However, this is not the main concern as Doctor said the bone will grow back by itself after some times. The biggest concern was my cervical became unstable after the accident. That leads to my bone shifted a bit. I guess you don't need any further elaboration what will happen next if nothing done to me. Just think about it, it is cervical spine, the main support of our body. Since the accident, headache was looking for me everyday without failed. The headache was different with the normal, it was pain at the back of my head and the pain level was hard to describe with words. That was the worst headache I had in my life.

Because of the broken neck, I had a big brace with me all the time, including the sleeping time. The only time I could take it off was during my shower time.

Yet, a smaller collar accompany me on that short moment.
my best mate since accident

In order to get rid of the problems that I was facing and the problems that may exist in the future, doctors (Yes, I see a few doctors to make sure the decision was right) advised me to go for the operation called 'Anterior Cervical Interbody Fusion'. In short, this operation helps to stable my cervical and REMOVE all the possibilities of being disable.

According to the doctor, the surgery was not consider a major surgery and it just took around 1 hour plus to complete the whole operation. The doctor even comfort me that, nowadays, this surgery is quite common and some of the professional golfer undergo this operation as well.
This thing really hurt me.. -_-'' had this on my left hand at the beginning, then changed to left leg and lastly to my right hand.

Initially after the surgery, I felt something stuck in my throat, the 'something' is like a big piece of apple. That feeling makes me hard to swollen the food. Due to that reason, I slimmed down a lot. So, is that considered a good news for a girl as we always shouted loudly 'I want to SLIM DOWN', and I just slim down without putting on much efforts. Too bad I didn't take any photo on that time because I looked sxxx at that moment.

During the first day after my surgery, I was laying on bed the whole day. Nurses helped me to wipe my body. It was the first time in my life being naked in front of strangers and being 'touched' by them. Sigh...It was terribly embarrassing. To my future husband, sorry, you are no longer the first one who touched me!  The next day, I learned to walk with the assistance of nurses. Again, first time in my life learned to walk after being an adult. Then, the third day, I was discharged. Surprise? ^^ The feeling of leaving hospital was like getting out from the jail. Hooray

Now I am resting at home and I need to go back to the hospital for my followup check up as per schedule. At the early stage after my surgery, I still have to wear my collar all the time. 2 weeks after the surgery, doctor removed the stitches on my neck. I was allowed to remove my collar at home after another 2 weeks. According to the doctor, I should be able to say good bye to the collar with another month time. Oh, looking forward to the day!!!

p/s: Another symptom of getting well is gaining weight, and yes, I am keep on putting on weight now. Help!!

Beginning Of Spring, 立春

If you are active in Facebook, you definitely see a lot of photos with eggs posting up yesterday. Why?? There is a belief in Chinese that during this day in lunar calender, 立春,which is the first day of Spring, the egg can stand up without falling. Some even said the egg can only be stood up in this day.

Of course, I must experiment and try to check on this statement!!!

And the result was........................................

Amazing right??? The egg can stood up!!!

Of course, the experiment doesn't stop on the day. The eggs were left overnight on floor and it was still stood up straight the next day. Experiment continued by pushing down the egg and stood it up again. And, the result..........................is really out of surprise!!!!

It actually...

Can be stood up. haha Happy 立春to everyone
